Restorative Dentistry Services in Lewiston

A strong, healthy smile is vital to good oral health and wellbeing. But what if your smile isn’t as strong as it used to be? Maybe you’ve lost one or more teeth due to poor oral health or an injury. Or maybe one of your teeth has recently developed an infection. In these cases, and others, our team is happy to help. Through our comprehensive restorative services you’ll find the help you need to smile with confidence again.

Our restorative dental services include:

Traditional Crowns & Bridges

If you need to restore a decayed or damaged tooth, or if you need to replace one or more teeth, our Lewiston office can help. A dental crown, also known as a cap, improves the strength and appearance of a tooth with advanced decay or a tooth that has sustained damage from an accident or injury. Crowns are also used to restore teeth that have undergone a root canal procedure. But not only will a crown strengthen your tooth and improve its appearance, it will also protect and preserve the root underneath.

A dental bridge is a special prosthetic that can help you replace one or more missing teeth. Your bridge will come with a custom-made replacement tooth, plus one or two abutment crowns that fit over healthy teeth and anchor your restoration. Once in place, your bridge will literally “bridge” the gap in your smile, for beautiful and natural-looking results you can enjoy for years to come.

Regardless of which service you need, our dental team will provide you with fully personalized service from start to finish. Your treatment will begin with a careful oral exam and consultation, during which we’ll explain your needs and your treatment options. If you have any questions about anything we discuss, we’ll be happy to listen to you and answer your questions.

Root Canals

When a tooth has fractured, developed a deep cavity, or become seriously injured in some other way, an infection may develop in the root canals inside the tooth. When this happens, you should see a dentist for root canal therapy. During a root canal, your dentist will clean out the inside of your tooth, fill it with a biologically inert substance, and seal it with a custom-made crown to protect it from developing a new infection.

Tooth Extractions

Do you need to have one or more teeth extracted? Our Lewiston office is happy to help. Whether you’re preparing to have dentures or gearing up for treatment with braces, we can meet your extraction needs. We’ll partner with you at each phase of your procedure to make sure you feel comfortable and that you understand how we can help you. We’re committed to offering our patients exceptional care.

Dentures, Partials, & Valplast Partials

If you need to replace a full row of teeth, our Lewiston office would be happy to create a denture for you. A denture is a special prosthetic designed to help patients replace a full upper or lower arch. A traditional denture is held in place by either an over-the-counter adhesive cream or natural suction. Some patients, however, may want to consider implant-retained dentures for even better results.

For patients who only need to replace a few teeth, we also offer partial dentures by Valplast. A partial denture, more commonly referred to as just a partial, features replacement multiple teeth spread across a gum-colored base. Traditional partials are secured by clips or brackets, but not a Valplast partial. These specially designed prosthetics look beautiful and natural but don’t require either clips or brackets to stay in place. What’s more, your prosthetic will come with a lifetime guarantee from Valplast. This guarantee will protect you from breakage or fracture.

Would you like to talk with one of our team members about your treatment options? Don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment with us. During your visit, your dentist will assess your needs and help you understand all the treatment options available to you. If we’re going to create a Valplast partial for you, we’d be happy to explain exactly what you can expect from your treatment. You can also learn more about them by visiting their website here.
